Volunteer Coaches Needed for Police Activities League Sports

The Redwood City Police Activities League needs volunteer coaches to work with a variety of youth sports activities and leagues throughout the year including Flag-Football, Street Hockey, Indoor Soccer, Outdoor Soccer, Basketball, Jr. Giants, and Volleyball. Sports programs are open to all Redwood City youth (boys and girls) 4th -8th grades.

All volunteers must complete a formal application process, pass a fingerprint evaluation and participate in scheduled coaches meetings and Positive Coaching Alliance Seminars when scheduled. Interested volunteers need to contact Chris Rasmussen, Redwood City Police Activities League Executive Director at 556-1650 ext. 11 or Erin Niemeyer, Police Activities League Youth Sports Coordinator at 780-7335. Applications are available at the Red Morton Community Center, 1120 Roosevelt Avenue, R.C. (650) 780-7311.
